Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Service help define Remotings relationship with you as you interact with our services. By accessing and using Remotings you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Remotings on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to these Terms for that organization and promising that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

These Terms include the following topics:

  • What can you expect from Remotings (how we provide and develop or Service)
  • What we expect from our users (establish rules for using our Service)
  • Use and protection of your account information.
  • Intellectual property rights to the content you find in Remotings
  • What happens in case of problems or disagreements

 

Service provider

Remotings services are provided by: OrangeMaple Ltd, Office 360, 3 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9SG

Age requirements

If you are under 16 you must have the permission of your parent or legal guardian to use Remotings. Your parents or guardian must read these terms with you.

If the parent or legal guardian allows the child to use the service, then these terms apply to the parent or guardian and he is responsible for the child’s use of the service.

1. What can you expect from Remotings

Remotings is a platform for group collaboration that can be used for personal and professional uses. On it’s board, content from different sources can be integrated and displayed in different ways, making it possible to share this content with others in a public board.

We provide different services depending on your role (facilitator or participant) and your account type.

Constantly we’re developing new features and functionalities to improve our service, as part of this we start offering new features or functionalities or stop offering old ones. We maintain research on the use of our functionalities and we consider the users’ interests and expectations before making any changes.

2. What we expect from our users

The intellectual property rights we have in the service are retained by Remotings.

Our service allows you to interact with others and for maintaining a respectful environment you must follow the following rules of conduct:

  • Comply with the applicable laws and regulations related to the use of our service and the jurisdictions in which you and other participants reside and operate.
  • Respect others and their rights, including privacy and intellectual property.
  • Don’t abuse or harm others or yourself.
  • Respect our service, don’t abuse, harm or interfere with it.

We define as content contributions everything you submit and collaborate with others in the boards you develop using Remotings. This may include photos, videos, drawings, text, web content or any type of content you can put on our boards. Remotings are designed to facilitate collaboration. You are responsible for the content you upload and any harm resulting from any of your contributions.

The content contributions to Remoitings will be confidential and only users with permission of the owner of the boards would be able to access them or contribute.

When the facilitator, owner of a workshop, gives access to new users or participants they will be able to access, edit and delete content (depending on any rights you assign or remove).

Remotings will not own your content, but to make it available in our service you assign a limited licence that is described below.

2.1 Licence

You have full ownership rights of your content. By making content contributions to our service you give us the licence to display, perform, distribute, modify and reproduce your content to enable us to display and provide this content in our service. These rights are sublicensed to other users with whom you share content.

When the content is no longer stored in our service, the license ends automatically. Also, this license is worldwide, non-exclusive and royalty-free.

This licence has the limited purpose of operating and improving our services and uses the content that you have made publicly available to promote our services.

3. Use and protection of your account information

Your Remotings account is your responsibility, you are responsible for maintaining your credentials confidential and also for all the uses of your account, even if they were or not authorized by you.

Other uses may distribute links to content you created. 

4. Content in Remotings: intellectual property rights

Our service includes content that belongs to Remotings and you may use it as allowed by these terms. We retain any intellectual property rights from our content and you can’t alter any of our branding or logos.

About other content 

Remotings services give you access to other people’s content, you may not use it without that person’s permission, or as the law allows it. The opinions and point of views expressed in other people or organisations’ content don’t reflect Remotings views, only their own.

 

5. In case of problems and disagreements

The law gives you the right to have a determined quality of service and having ways to fix problems if something goes wrong.

Disclaimers:

The only commitments Remotings make in relation to its service are described in these terms and in our privacy policy. We don’t make any other commitments in relation to our service.

Liability:

Under any event, we shall be liable to you or any other third party for any indirect or consequential incidental special or punitive from your use of Remotings service.

Remotings total liability arising or related to these terms is limited to 100 pounds or 125% of the fees you paid for the use of our service in the 12 months before the claim.

Taking action:

In case of problems before taking action we will give you an advance notice describing the reason for our action and give you the opportunity to fix the problem.

If there are reasons to believe that your content violates these terms of service we reserve the right to remove that content from Remotings.

We can suspend or terminate your access to Remotings if (1) you repeatedly trespass or violate these terms (2) we are legally required to do so (3) there are reasons to believe that your conduct harms another user.

6. About Remotings terms of service

These terms may be updated in the following cases:

  • To reflect changes in Remotings service or the way we do business.
  • For regulatory, legal or security reasons.
  • To prevent abuse or harm.

If our terms are updated, Remotings will provide an advanced notice by email, so you have the opportunity to review and accept those changes, with two exceptions to this: (1) when the changes are related to a new feature of our platform or (2) when the situation is urgent, like preventing ongoing abuse or for legal requirements. If you don’t agree with the new terms you should remove your content from Remotings and close your account.

You can end your relationship with Remotings at any time closing your account and stop using the Remotings service.
